One killed, four injured in dispute


CHAKWAL: A young man was shot and killed, while four others were injured in firing between two groups in the Dhoke Sajawal village, located in the Dohman police area, police sources said on Friday.

According to the police and villagers, Liaquat was talking on his mobile phone near the residence of another villager, Ghazanfar Bhatti, who objected to his presence near his home.

A heated exchange between the two men resulting in firing after more people entered the fray from both sides.

As a result, Falak Sher from the Ghazanfar Bhatti group was killed and four people – two from each side – were injured.

Mohammad Ibrahim was critically injured and referred to Rawalpindi from the District Headquarters Hospital but is now in stable condition, according to a police official.

Police have arrested five suspects after registering a case against them.
